Paloma Valencia is a Colombian Senator, elected by Centro Democrático Party. This party, is lead by former President of Colombia Alvaro Uribe Velez.
Senator Valencia served as a political analyst for Colombia´s newspapers, television and radio. She graduated as a Philosopher and Lawyer, and has an MFA from NYU. She also served as a Law professor at los Andes University at Bogota.
As Senator, she has denounced abuses of the government in the previous elections, as well as corruption on arms acquisitions. She is an energetic voice against impunity of Farc, a well-known terror organization, which is currently negotiating with the Colombian government.
