Martha L. Aponte is an international development professional with over 20 years of experience. She is driven by a passion for creating greater social impact and economic success through her experience as a development and policy advisor and her knowledge of private sector engagement, shared value, management, leadership, and women’s contributions at all levels of society. She has had a long career at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Her vision and knowledge as a leader has been shaped by multiple assignments in different regional bureaus including Colombia, Pakistan, and Hungary. She is currently serving as Development Advisor to the U.S. Southern Command helping contribute to more a impactful U.S. civil-military coordination in Latin America.
Ms. Aponte earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at the University of our Lady of the Rosary, Bogota, Colombia and a Master Certificate in Government Contracting from the George Washington University, School of Business.
