Based in the SAS Washington, DC area office, Maggie leads SAS’ work in AgTech, Retail, and Consumer Goods, leading a team of sales and domain experts working to bring SAS solutions to solve the most challenging data problems for our customers. Maggie brings over 15 years of experience working in agriculture policy, including significant work on both the 2014 and 2018 Farm Bill legislation packages. Prior to joining SAS, she worked as the Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to the Under Secretary of the Food, Nutrition, and Consumer Services mission area at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. In this role she helped oversee an agency with a budget of over $100 billion in federal funds and 15 domestic feeding programs. While at USDA, Maggie also played a significant leadership role in the 2020-2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans process.
In addition to her work at USDA, Maggie previously worked for a national grocery trade association focusing on food and agriculture policy. She has also worked for a think tank, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, and a member of the U.S. Senate. A native of Wilson, NC, Maggie lives in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband and two young children.
