Kuda Biza (Cordes Fellow, 2018) is the Co-Founder of #ThisIsMyEra, a social enterprise that develops personal development products that empower individuals to take action and achieve their life goals. The brand follows the “buy one, give one” model by donating a stationery kit to a child in need in Africa for every planner purchased.
Kuda is also the Co-Founder of AFR Clothing – a social enterprise he founded in his dorm room when he was a senior at Lynn University. AFR Clothing uses fashion as a vehicle for change by donating a portion of profits to send orphans and vulnerable children in Africa to school.
He is also the founder of the Amani Hope Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization whose mission is to empower underprivileged children in Africa by providing scholarships, school supplies and educational programs. To date, the Amani Hope Foundation has awarded more than 100 scholarships to students (primary school and high school level) in Ghana, Tanzania and Zimbabwe.
In addition to his social impact work described above, Kuda actively pursues a corporate career with Newell Brands (NYSE: NWL) – a leading global consumer goods company with a strong portfolio of well-known brands, including Paper Mate®, Sharpie®, Parker®, Marmot®, Calphalon®, Crock-Pot®, Rubbermaid®, and Yankee Candle®.
Additionally, Kuda is a renowned public speaker. He was the Commencement Speaker for the Class of 2010 Graduation at Lynn University. Kuda has also had the privilege of speaking at the United Nations, Harvard University and many global conferences and universities.
Kuda holds an MBA in Financial Valuation and Investment Management (Summa Cum Laude) and a BS in International Business & Aviation Management (Summa Cum Laude). He also holds a Certificate in Microfinance from Marconi University in Rome, Italy.
Kuda advises and consults with start-up companies in the United States, Guatemala, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Africa. In his spare time, Kuda enjoys an active lifestyle through exercise.
