The group, said Edgar Sandoval, President & CEO of World Vision, is the largest implementing partner of the World Food Program and dedicated to delivering clean water to those who need it. This ambitious approach requires a multi-sector approach with business partnerships.

On the topic of business, Allison Tummon Kamphuis, Vice President, Global Equality & Inclusion and Community Impact for Procter and Gamble, explained that Procter and Gamble has worked with World Vision for 14 years. They understand the transformational power of clean water to help lift communities out of poverty. Pia Yasuko Rask, Senior Director of Safewater, GRUNDFOS Holding, Ltd., then described how her company, the world’s largest water pump manufacturer, works with World Vision to focus on solutions that suit communities now and in the future. This work enables them to be a better business by being better people.

The panel ended with Sandoval’s optimistic assessment that World Vision will reach the goals of SDG 6 and end water scarcity. He implored those in the audience to work with World Vision to achieve this goal. Heaton then announced a $1 million personal donation to the organization.
