The 2016 Concordia Summit panel discussion on “Precision Medicine in Cancer Research” revolved around the importance of immunotherapy and the future of cancer treatments. The panelists, including Dr. James R. Downing, Dr. Stephen Nimer, and Dr, Jedd Wolchok addressed the future of cancer therapies and difficulties in achieving effective treatments.

Precision medicine “just isn’t available to everyone,” said Dr Wolchok at the 2016 Concordia Summit. Greater collaboration across the country, however, will improve cancer care among all centers nationally, not only for the larger hospitals.
