Concordia Welcomes New Interim Director of Programming

Concordia is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Wenzel as Interim Director of Programming. Given his previous role as Concordia’s Programming Manager for the 2015 Annual Summit and his consultation during the 2016 Annual Summit, Mr. Wenzel familiarity with our mission will contribute greatly to the continued expansion of our programming and events.

In addition to his work at Concordia, Mr. Wenzel has built a career in the social impact sector focusing on strategic design, program implementation, and high-level stakeholder engagement, working with organizations such as EY, CARE, Ford Foundation, UNDP, Breakthrough, and the U.S. Department of State. Mr. Wenzel was also previously the Executive Director of MIMA Music, an international music education nonprofit he was involved with after his time teaching high school in East Harlem.

Mr. Wenzel’s appointment comes following the transition of Ms. Donniell Silva who served as Director of Programming for the last 3 years at Concordia before relocating to the West Coast. After joining Concordia from the Clinton Global Initiative in 2014, Ms. Silva lead the overall growth and diversification of our year-round programming. Over the past three years, Ms. Silva has worked to build meaningful institutional relationships with our Programming Partners while also spearheading the development of our ten Programming Pipelines which address numerous global challenges and social impact opportunities ranging from gender parity to sustainable development to migration and refugees.

Mr. Wenzel’s addition to the team will carry forward Ms. Silva’s strategic vision and ensure that Concordia’s programming remains one of our most effective tools in building partnerships for social impact.
