Concordia, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization focused on promoting effective and sustainable public-private collaboration, is excited to announce the appointment of William J. Antholis to the Concordia Leadership Council. Dr. Antholis currently serves as the Managing Director of the Brookings Institution, a nonprofit public policy organization dedicated to conducting high-quality, independent research and, based on that research, to provide innovative, practical recommendations.

Dr. Antholis will bring exemplary executive leadership experience and proven research ability to help enhance P3 Intelligence and Concordia’s goal of enhancing public-private collaboration. As managing director, Dr. Antholis works directly with Brookings’s president and vice presidents to oversee and manage the full range of policy studies, develop new initiatives, coordinate research across programs, strengthen the policy impact of Brookings research, and ensure the quality and independence of that research. Dr. Antholis is also a senior fellow in Governance Studies, where his work focuses on the politics and institutions of international diplomacy.

Dr. Antholis has published books, articles, book chapters, and opinion pieces on U.S. politics, U.S. foreign policy, and international organizations. From 1995 to 1999, Dr. Antholis served in government. At the White House, he was director of international economic affairs on the staff of the National Security Council and National Economic Council, where he served as the chief staff person for the G8 Summits in 1997 and 1998.

As one of the leading experts in Governance and Economic development, Dr. Antholis will help further Concordia’s mission of streamlining public-private collaboration to play a larger role in solving some of the world’s most intractable problems.

On joining the Leadership Council, Dr. Antholis said, “Concordia has, in a short time, done an exceptional job of strengthening our understanding of how to promote effective public-private partnerships.  It is a terrific organization, with a great combination of internal brainpower, and external networking.”

Concordia Co-Founders Matthew Swift and Nicholas Logothetis, along with The Leadership Council welcome Dr. Antholis: “We count ourselves fortunate to have Dr. Antholis make a significant intellectual investment into Concordia. For an organization dedicated to research and promoting social wellbeing, having Dr. Antholis will only advance partnership-relevant knowledge about the most significant international challenges.”
