New York, October 26, 2015—Concordia is pleased to announce the appointment of George M. Logothetis as Chairman of the organization’s Leadership Council. Mr. Logothetis is Chairman and CEO of the Libra Group and joined the Leadership Council in 2011.

Based in New York, George Logothetis, age 40, began his career in 1993 when he joined Lomar Shipping, the Logothetis family’s London-based shipping company. In 1995 at the age of 19 he was appointed CEO. He spearheaded Lomar’s evolution from a three vessel fleet to a modern and diversified 55 vessel fleet before becoming the founding Chairman and CEO of the Libra Group when it was formed in 2003. Mr. Logothetis has led the group’s transformation from a shipping company to a diverse multinational and multicultural international group.

The Libra Group is an international business group comprising 30 subsidiaries active across six continents. The group has principal operations in shipping, aviation, real estate, hospitality and energy as well as a range of diversified investments. The group’s Social Responsibility division undertakes numerous education, entrepreneurship and philanthropic initiatives broadly linked to the themes of community support and assisting people who have been denied or have limited opportunity.
