Canada’s Private Refugee Sponsorship Program to Expand Around The World

With the help of billionaire George Soros, Europe looks to implement Canada’s refugee sponsorship program. This program, which has been a huge success in Canada thus far, is based mostly on citizen participation, as they give the funds that provide housing for refugees.

“Every country’s circumstances are different but we believe this is a good model which is exportable to other countries,” said Canada’s Minister of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship, John McCallum, who attended the 2016 Concordia Summit along with Soros to address the refugee crisis.
