The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York (TECO-NY) is Taiwan’s de-facto Consulate-general in New York, representing its interests in the states of Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. It is primarily responsible for planning, promoting, and implementing a variety of Taiwanese economic, cultural, and educational initiatives, as well as international cooperation and exchanges.
TECO-NY joins Concordia as a Lead Programming Partner for the 2021 Concordia Annual Summit. This partnership seeks to support Taiwan’s actions in response to the COVID-19 crisis and the UN Global Goals. It will also highlight the various ways in which Taiwan has transformed itself from a recipient of foreign aid to a provider of international development and humanitarian assistance. With 2021 being designated as the International Year of Health and Care Workers, Taiwan has paid tribute to health and care workers through a short film, “The Gift of a Great Adventure”.
