100,000 Strong in the Americas Innovation Fund

The 100,000 Strong in the Americas (100K) Innovation Fund is an impactful and durable hemisphere-wide education initiative that catalyzes student development and mobility across the Americas, builds institutional capacity, and expands inter-regional partnerships.  The 100K Strong Innovation Fund is a public-private partnership created in 2013 by then White House National Security Council, the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs, Partners of the Americas, and NAFSA: Association of International Educators.  It was scaled by creating dynamic regional, resilient public-private partnerships across sectors to inspire new higher education partnerships and increase the number and diversity of students in the Americas who have access to innovative exchange and training opportunities.  In seven years, the 100K Innovation Fund has leveraged over $22 million in commitments from regional public, private, NGO, and academic sectors to create and support new training and exchange program opportunities between the United States and the rest of the Western Hemisphere.
