We are pleased to announce that Rodney Ferguson, President & CEO of Winrock International, has been appointed to the Concordia Board of Directors. In his role at Winrock, Ferguson ensures the organization follows its mission of increasing economic opportunity and sustaining natural resources, and is responsible for strategic, programmatic, financial, and management operations. Prior to joining Winrock, Ferguson worked for 20 years as a leading nonprofit communications and strategy consultant, providing guidance to a range of entities, including the MacArthur Foundation, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, The Pew Charitable Trusts, and the State University of New York system. He also supported international aid and development projects in Iraq, Slovenia, and Qatar.

Ferguson received his bachelor’s degree from Birmingham Southern College, attended the University of St Andrews in Scotland as a Rotary Foundation International Scholar, and earned a master’s in public policy from Harvard Kennedy School. He speaks and presents frequently on international development, the climate crisis and nonprofit accountability, and serves as a Concordia Senior Advisor. He also serves on the advisory board of the Export Import Bank of the United States and the Vanderbilt Project on Unity and American Democracy.
