Today, Concordia announces that Richard Griffiths of Dentons will be joining the Concordia community as an Advisor on the Good Governance & Democracy Programming Pipeline. As a well-regarded global policy strategist and advisor, Griffiths serves as Senior Advisor for Dentons and a member of the organization’s Public Policy and Regulation practice.
Griffiths’ international policy experience is diverse and comprehensive. In addition to his role at Dentons, Griffiths is a Special Advisor to the President of the Special Olympics. Previously, Griffiths provided advisory services on international trade at Squire Patton Boggs LLP, served as an Executive Director for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Libya from 2010-2013, and was Senior Advisor on International Affairs to Colombia’s Office of the Secretary General, working to elevate the importance of extreme poverty and human trafficking as policy issues to tackle. Over more than 15 years, Griffiths has advised a wide array of national governments, including Rwanda, El Salvador, Guatemala, Antigua and Barbuda, Qatar, and Panama, among numerous others.
Concordia’s Good Governance & Democracy Pipeline focuses on issues ranging from the rule of law and international justice to promoting democratic governance and working to build accountable and transparent governments. In his capacity as advisor, Griffiths will bring a wealth of expertise on governance issues in developing nations, ranging from international trade to nation branding, tourism, and other regulatory and public policy topics, at a time when Concordia is focusing heavily on confronting complex governance challenges around the globe.
