With three decades of service in academia, government, and humanitarian work both in the United States and globally, Dr. Kerry Healey brings with her unique insight into partnership building with a focus on entrepreneurship.

From 2003 to 2007, Dr. Healey held the position of 70th Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts under Governor Mitt Romney, and served as Special Advisor on Romney’s presidential campaign. In 2008, Dr. Healey was appointed by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice as a founding member of the Executive Committee of the U.S. Department of State’s Public-Private Partnership for Justice Reform in Afghanistan (PJRA). The main focus of the Executive Committee was to bring together private sector lawyers and judges from the U.S. with their counterparts in Afghanistan to strengthen the rule of law and education in the country.

In July 2013, she became the thirteenth President of Babson College, and the first woman to hold the position. Under her leadership, Babson College has strengthened its reputation as the recognized global leader in entrepreneurship education, consistently ranked the No. 1 undergraduate school and No. 1 MBA program for entrepreneurship, as well as the No. 1 U.S. college for international students. Dr. Healey has also worked to expand global access to entrepreneurship education on campus and around the world, creating and launching Babson’s prestigious Global Scholars Program, a full-tuition, needs-based scholarship for exceptional international students.

Upon accepting the invitation to join Concordia’s Leadership Council, Dr. Healey commented: “Concordia’s vision to create and engage a collaborative global community of problem solvers and change makers is more important than ever. I am honored to join the Leadership Council and I look forward to engaging with Concordia’s members to support innovative partnerships for social impact.”

Concordia’s Co-Founders, Matthew A. Swift and Nicholas M. Logothetis, remarked: “We were honored to first meet Dr. Healey in 2012, when she spoke at our Annual Summit about the importance of public-private partnerships in Afghanistan. Dr. Healey now runs an incredibly innovative institution of learning, and with her government and private sector experience, we know that we will benefit greatly from her serving on our Leadership Council.”
