It has been a peculiar—and, admittedly, trying—year. We are living through a pivotal moment that is reshaping the world as we know it, and we are acclimating to dealing with uncertainty in almost every sphere of our lives. For us at Concordia, this year has exposed the urgent need to create spaces for dialogue and collaboration and to unite as a global community to tackle the crisis head on.
When it felt like so much of the world had come to a standstill, we at Concordia did what we do best: we adapted and mobilized. We pushed forward with our most impactful programming and partnership development yet. And we were able to do so because of the generosity and dedication of people like you.
In a time of unprecedented uncertainty, your support allowed us to hold our first-ever fully-digital Annual Summit, which elevated traditionally-excluded voices and sparked much-needed collaboration among leaders, sectors, industries, states, and countries. In November, we hosted our 2020 Africa Initiative, a critical step in amplifying Africa-driven dialogue. And, earlier this month, we convened global leaders at our 5th Americas Summit to tackle the toughest issues and the biggest opportunities facing the Western Hemisphere.
You brought us through 2020. And as we march into 2021, we’ll be scaling our impact and doing everything we possibly can to double down on our values: collaboration, partnership, and unity. There has truly never been a more important time to support Concordia’s mission of building strong networks, bridging partnerships for social impact, and fostering a community to better the world.
