Ross, Jr., former U.S. Secretary of Commerce and a globally recognized leader in investment and economic strategy, has joined its Leadership Council. With an extensive background in finance, restructuring, and international business, Secretary Ross will bring invaluable insight to Concordia’s mission of fostering cross-sector collaboration to tackle critical global issues.

With over 55 years of experience in investment banking and private equity, Secretary Ross has played a transformative role in restructuring more than $400 billion in assets across a range of industries. As the former Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer of WL Ross & Co. LLC, he has guided major corporations through complex financial turnarounds, influencing markets worldwide. Recognized by Bloomberg Markets as one of the 50 most influential figures in global finance, he has served as chairman or lead director for more than 100 companies across 20+ countries.

His public service as U.S. Secretary of Commerce (2017-2021) further cemented his impact on international trade, economic policy, and industrial innovation. His leadership in economic development, trade negotiations, and business strategy aligns with Concordia’s commitment to advancing partnerships that drive sustainable growth and economic resilience.
