Concordia today announces USANA Health Sciences as a 2021 Annual Summit Lead Programming Sponsor.

USANA adopts a holistic approach to wellness, creating high-quality nutritional products designed to maintain health over the long term. With a focus on scientific research, advanced nutritional products, cutting-edge medical facilities, and progressive humanitarian work, the company is empowering people around the world to live healthy and rewarding lives. USANA will contribute ideas and insights in line with Concordia’s Health Disparities, Recovery, and Resilience programming track.

“We’re excited to welcome USANA to the Concordia community. A pioneer in the health and wellness space, USANA is facilitating a much-needed discussion around the intersection of Eastern and Western medicine,” commented Matthew Swift, Concordia’s Co-Founder & CEO. “Our Main Stage at this year’s Annual Summit will address the different ways in which we can advance societal health and wellness. We’ll hear from high-level speakers, including Dr. Oz, who will explore the benefits of alternative healing, the future of healthcare, and more, as well as launching one of the most highly-anticipated books of 2021.”

To gain a true understanding of the health challenges facing the international community, we must address the roles of both traditional and new medicine. Embracing a more holistic approach that honors the benefits of ancient medicinal philosophies as well as the advances of modern medical progress can be appealing for practitioners grappling with healing our health systems, but can they truly benefit our systems and solve for deep-rooted disparities? What are the risks of the current prescriptive model of modern Western medicine? How can blended approaches and socially-sensitive care be incentivized in service of full societal wellness? These are just a handful of the questions that will be answered through Concordia’s collaboration with USANA at the 2021 Annual Summit.

Crucially, this collaboration will feature Dr. Mehmet Oz, Professor of Surgery at Columbia University, who will launch his much-anticipated new book at the 2021 Annual Summit.

“As a company that prides itself on creating the ‘healthiest family on earth,’ we are thrilled to partner with Concordia and bring our experience to their Annual Summit,” said Dan Macuga, USANA’s Chief Communications & Marketing Officer. “For nearly 30 years, USANA has perfectly married philosophies from Eastern approaches and high-tech Western medicine to create our supplements. With this wealth of knowledge on traditional and modern medicines, we collaborated with Dr. Oz and the President of the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Dr. Anlong Xu, to create a groundbreaking, eye-opening guide to eastern traditional medicine. Presenting to world leaders at the Concordia Summit will help spread the message of the book as we inform the public about the efficacy of traditional medicine.”
