Concordia is honored to welcome The Wellbeing Foundation Africa (WBFA) as a 2020 Annual Summit Programming Partner.
Founder, President, and Leadership Council Member, Her Excellency Toyin Saraki, began this organization in Nigeria in 2004, out of hopes of improving health care for women, infants, and children.
Through a multi-faceted strategy consisting of research, programmes, policy, education, and advocacy, WBFA—along with its sister organization, Wellbeing for Women Africa—is facilitating tangible, lasting progress towards the attainment of the SDGs, with a particular focus on SDG 3, Good Health and Well-being, SDG 5, Gender Equality, and SDG 6, Clean Water and Sanitation.
During the Annual Summit, the WBFA will lead the session, Building A Community Of Best Practice For WASH Impact To Deliver Health For All, centered on the frontline efforts to prevent disease transmission in the wake of COVID-19. This session will also share insight into how organizations can help communities build resilience by encouraging comprehensive community health care.
