Concordia is pleased to welcome Dr. Sheila Davis, Chief Executive Officer at Partners In Health (PIH), to its Leadership Council, bringing extensive expertise in the field of medicine.
Dr. Davis serves as Chief Executive Officer at PIH, a global health nonprofit organization rooted in social justice that brings the benefits of modern medical science to impoverished communities in 11 countries. Over the last 15 years, she has held multiple cross-site roles at PIH, including Chief of Ebola Response, Chief of Clinical Operations, and Chief Nursing Officer, overseeing nursing efforts as well as supply chain, medical informatics, laboratory, infrastructure, and quality improvement activities.
Before officially entering the medical field, Dr. Davis received her BSN degree from Northeastern University, as well as her Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult Nurse Practitioner and her Doctorate in Nursing Practice with a concentration in global health from the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Institute of Health Professions. She then went on to work for decades in the HIV/AIDS field and expanded her work globally in 1999, responding to the global HIV pandemic. Dr. Davis was also the co-founder of a small NGO that worked in South Africa and Boston from 2004-2010 on health implementation projects, including a rural village nurse clinic. She was a clinician in the Infectious Diseases clinic at MGH for over 15 years and has been an HIV/AIDS activist for over 30 years.
“It is an honor to have Dr. Davis join the Concordia Leadership Council,” said Nicholas Logothetis, Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of Concordia. “Her experience in global health will be invaluable for us at a time when it is such a critical topic.”
Concordia’s Leadership Council comprises esteemed leaders from various sectors who provide strategic guidance and support to the organization’s initiatives. Dr. Davis’ addition to the council underscores Concordia’s commitment to leveraging diverse perspectives to create meaningful impact.
