Concordia welcomes DIAL as Lead Programming Partner for the 2020 Annual Summit

Concordia is proud to partner with the Digital Impact Alliance (DIAL) around the upcoming 2020 Annual Summit. 

Established in 2015, DIAL is an independent global alliance that advances digital inclusion to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). DIAL identifies barriers to the routine use of digital solutions and data, tests ways to remove them, and packages solutions for global development actors to use in service of delivery efforts.

DIAL and Concordia believe in a deeply cross-sectoral approach to driving digital transformation at both the national and international levels. Together, we hope to highlight challenges and potential ways forward for whole-of-society approaches to country-level digital transformation, showcase and exchange learnings around the need for digital donor cooperation, and develop calls to action for digital development in the post-pandemic era. 

At the 2020 Annual Summit, DIAL and Concordia will co-host a Main Stage session on digital cooperation and tech philanthropy, a Strategic Dialogue on whole-of-society approaches to national digital transformation, and a Roundtable on the future of digital development. 

The SDGs are an ambitious set of goals that chart a path toward a kinder, more just future. If we are to achieve them—especially in light of the increasing digitization of our economic and social infrastructure—we need to prioritize digital inclusion. Under this programming partnership, DIAL and Concordia will work toward transforming our digital landscape in service of humanity.
