The COVID-19 crisis has reinforced the importance of sustaining cross-sector collaboration. Calamos Investments has demonstrated critical leadership in charting a course for economic recovery and relief amid the COVID-19 crisis, as an extension of its longstanding focus on philanthropy, conscious capitalism, and navigating market uncertainties.
During the pandemic, John Koudounis, CEO of Calamos Investments, founded the ‘Chicago CEO COVID-19 Coalition’ to provide COVID-19 relief and recovery for the city. This initiative focuses on four critical areas in COVID recovery: food, shelter/homelessness, counseling services, and PPE. So far, the Coalition has distributed over $1.25 million in proceeds from its successful telethon, with additional pledged funds forthcoming.
Calamos Investments continues to build on its partnerships with local community leaders and mobilize additional resources for vulnerable communities.
