Walmart joins Concordia as a 2018 Programming Sponsor

Walmart is joining Concordia as a 2018 programming sponsor. This partnership aims to further the efforts of industry actors to combat forced labor in supply chains through the amplification of learnings from the collaboration between Walmart and International Justice Mission (IJM), an international, non-governmental organization focused on advancing human rights, law, and law enforcement.

At the 2018 Concordia Annual Summit, Walmart will use the private roundtable space to bring together leaders from business, government and the NGO community to facilitate an in-depth conversation on the roles, challenges, and gaps in the relationships between each of these stakeholder groups when it comes to tackling complex challenges like forced labor.

The plenary stage will serve as a platform for leaders from each organization to share with the Concordia community the role of collaboration to address complex risks in the supply chain, using Walmart’s work with International Justice Mission as a case study.

Through sponsorship, Walmart aspires to foster dialogue that will allow stakeholders to walk away with key actions for their respective sector to more effectively combat forced labor and advance human rights in global supply chains.
