Concordia releases its 2023 Europe Summit Report as Spain assumes Presidency of the Council of the European Union

Last month, Concordia concluded its 2023 Europe Summit in Madrid, Spain. Concordia’s Concilium format brought together government and business leaders for a set of high-level, closed-door conversations on the themes of Energy Security, Cyber Defense, and Diplomacy.

With Spain taking over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union earlier this month, the findings of this report will be presented to Spanish and EU leadership, providing valuable guidance to Spain in effectively navigating its presidency. 

Through Concordia’s Concilium format, the 2023 Europe Summit addressed the foremost challenges facing Europe, such as the advent of critical technologies, green energy alternatives, and geopolitical inflection points. Leaders from across sectors and industries were provided with critical real-time information and the opportunity to actively participate in a dynamic sequence of key discussions. Participants were polled following each session and their responses, as well as analysis by top IE University students, were vital to the creation of the 2023 Concordia Europe Summit Report.
