Concordia and Women Political Leaders Global Forum Programming Partnership

Concordia is partnering with Women Political Leaders Global Forum (WPL), the worldwide network of female politicians—Presidents, Prime Ministers, Ministers, and Members of Parliament—based in Reykjavik, Iceland. WPL’s mission is to increase both the number and the influence of females in political leadership positions.

This year-round programming partnership will provide a platform to promote the impact of women in political leadership. By highlighting a number of integral and influential female political and business leaders, the partnership will strive to elevate the voice of women’s expertise and leadership across sectors and industries.

At Concordia, our Gender Parity & Inclusive Diversity Programming Pipeline convenes individuals and organizations in order to spark cross-sector partnerships focused on empowering women and girls in communities around the world. Our Members, Advisors, and Partners work collaboratively to address more equitable representation in the C-suite, promote equal access to education for girls, and encourage the political participation of women globally, among much more. In addition, this partnership will address all of our Programming Pipelines to ensure our cross-sector programming is inclusive of essential female perspectives and leadership.

On June 6-8, 2018, WPL is organizing the WPL Summit 2018, which brings together female Heads of State and Government, Ministers, and Parliamentarians from all over the world. The Summit provides a forum for the exchange of best practices around the globe, while highlighting women’s empowerment and potential.

These conversations will be continued at the 2018 Concordia Annual Summit in September, which will convene relevant individuals from across the public, profit, and nonprofit sectors to advance gender equality solutions through the lens of cross-sector partnership.
