Concordia is excited to announce that Cordell Carter, Esq. will be joining the Board of Directors. Cordell is the Executive Director of the Aspen Institute Socrates Program and the Founder of the Festival of the Diaspora, Inc. He has been involved with Concordia for many years. Cordell earned his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School, as well as a M.Sc. in Public Policy and Management Studies from Carnegie Mellon University, and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Washington. 

Carter has spoken at a number of Concordia Summits in the past. Most recently, he shared his insights into education at the 2022 Lexington Summit, where he moderated the session Education Pipelines in the Heartland, in which he stimulated an important conversation regarding today’s challenges across different areas of academia.

The addition of Cordell Carter to the Board of Directors will bring a crucial perspective as a convener, fundraiser, and citizen-diplomat, and Concordia is excited to begin working with him in this new role.
