It’s official! I am proud to share that the 10th Concordia Annual Summit will occur on September 21st through the 25th. This five-day digital event will bring together current and former heads of state, senior government officials, CEOs of global corporations, and leaders from NGOs doing essential work on the front lines of so many critical issues. Yet again, we will be elevating those traditionally-excluded and emerging voices. At last year’s Summit, this took the form of an open and honest conversation with six graduate students from around the world listening to their perspectives on civic engagement, democracy, and economic potential. In addition, we heard their greatest fears for the world, and we look forward to continuing these important discussions this year.

We must have more dialogue, not less. Many voices. One community. And we must have those hard but necessary conversations, as opposed to echo-chambers filled with voices of agreement. As an American, our country is going through substantial challenges to determine our future. That is a good thing. These conversations are messy, but then again anything worth fighting for is worth the struggle. Each one of us around the world are trying to grapple with this global pandemic and what it means for our social and economic future.

Even if we cannot be together in person, our 10th Annual Summit will be a place for these conversations digitally, and I could not be more excited about what the Concordia team is planning. To help us ensure we’re bringing you exactly what you want to see, would you please take a few moments to fill out this short survey. In the meantime, stay safe and well, and I look forward to keeping you updated.

Matt
