What’s Next: A View from the New Generation

JANUARY 14, 2021  |  DIgital

Description

According to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, the engagement of a new, younger generation in global defense and security matters is more important than ever to safeguarding the freedom of the world’s nations. He posits that it is imperative that this younger generation develop a new agenda that places technology and innovation at the forefront of  combating rising threats to security and human rights. This Concordia Live will convene impressive young minds from different backgrounds and perspectives for a meaningful conversation about what’s next in the global agenda. Crucially, it will provide an opportunity to understand the younger generation’s perception of the most pressing issues around defense & security, foreign and domestic threats, and human trafficking. This Concordia Live will also explore the critical role of both this generation and cross-sector collaboration in overcoming these global challenges.

The opinions expressed by the panelists are their own and not of the U.S. government or any agency, including the Department of State, Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Defense, or the U.S. Army.
