The number of people forced to flee conflict, violence, human rights violations and persecution has now crossed the staggering milestone of 100 million for the first time on record, propelled by the war in Ukraine and other deadly conflicts.

The enormity and complexity of the global forced displacement crisis can feel overwhelming and it can be easy to lose sight of the individuals affected. Individuals with hopes, dreams and passions. In honor of World Refugee Day, this Concordia Live session will go behind the statistics and data and bring participants closer to the courageous journeys of refugees. While bringing light to the plight of refugees, this engaging discussion will feature newly released global, regional and national data on forced displacement while also exploring the shared human experience of refugees through the power of storytelling.
