Yagmur is an aspiring filmmaker and storyteller from Turkey. She studies Public Policy and Film & New Media at New York University Abu Dhabi. She is passionate about social integration and community building. In the UAE, she leads Bedaya, a student initiative aiming to promote the social integration of female migrant workers in Abu Dhabi through sports and play. In 2018, Bedaya was featured in Clinton Global Initiative University Conference for its outstanding work. Yagmur has experience in visual and performing arts production in Istanbul, Abu Dhabi and New York. She believes in the power of arts in social change and aims to raise awareness on ongoing social issues with her artistic work. Yagmur currently works with Ardea Arts, a New York based non-profit opera production company.
