Wendy Woods is a Vice Chair and Managing Director & Senior Partner with Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
Wendy has responsibility for BCG’s work in sustainability, diversity, equity & inclusion & total societal impact, sustainable & innovative finance, global health & development, education, climate & environment and humanitarian response. She works with businesses, investors, governments, and social sector organizations to support progress towards the global Sustainable Development Goals and a more caring world. Wendy helps clients rethink business’s role in society, create sustainable, inclusive strategies, improve effectiveness, develop public-private partnerships, and drive positive change. She works across the US, Europe, Africa and Asia.
Wendy is passionate about improving cooperation across the private, public, and social sectors to help solve the world’s most intractable problems, as highlighted in her TED talks, “The business benefits of doing good” and “Collective cooperation in the social sector.” She is a frequent contributor to BCG’s thought leadership, coauthoring foundational publications such as Total Societal Impact: A New Lens for Strategy and Winning the ’20s: Optimize for Both Social and Business Value: Beyond Shareholder Value.
Wendy serves on the board of OpenSC and is a member of the advisory councils for the Tent Partnership for Refugees and the Elevate Prize Foundation. She earned a BA in economics from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
