Robert is currently a Specialist Leader at Deloitte Social Impact, a new commercial consulting business that helps private, public and social sector clients redefine and capture value in underserved markets and leads the firm’s efforts in social finance – developing integrated solutions for clients focused on corporate social venture capital, impact investing, pay for performance, and innovative finance. He has been on the front lines of social innovation for more than two decades – from pioneering and scaling market-based solutions like inclusive business for low-income communities around the world to developing innovative finance and sustainability mechanisms like debt-for-nature swaps, impact investment funds, and sustainability solutions for development finance institutions, corporations, impact investors, and social sector organizations. Robert has both driven social impact and organizational transformation efforts, technology start-up ventures and social enterprises as a senior executive and advised some of the world’s leading organizations and thought leaders on new market entry, innovative finance, social investment and revenue diversification approaches, and the creation of blended value. Over the span of his career, he has catalyzed over $2 billion of social investment for global sustainability and development efforts and impacted the lives of over 1 million people. Robert is a graduate of the American University and completed European Policy studies at the Universite Libre de Bruxelles, speaks six languages, and has lived and worked in over 30 countries in the Americas, Europe, Africa and South/Southeast Asia. He currently also serves as the lead strategy advisor to My Brother’s Keeper Alliance and serves on the organization’s advisory council.
