Victor is an Expert for Carbon Markets projects and Finance for Ecosystem Services. He worked from 2011 until January 2019 as Project Manager and the Director of Forestry and Land Use projects at South Pole. Now he is the Director of a new unit based on Biodiversity and Environmental Assessment services. 

Victor holds a Master in Forest and Environmental Conservation, and, I finished a Master in Applied Economics from Eafit Univesity in Colombia, with an emphasis in carbon markets for AFOLU and renewal energy sectors. He had the opportunity to certify, coordinate and implement more than 170 projects under voluntary and compliance carbon markets around the world as well as biodiversity and community cobenefits. Lately, he has been working in the development of strategies and politics related to the REDD+ mechanism, Zero Deforestation initiatives, Biodiversity offsets, landscapes risk assessment, Sustainable Supply Chains and the integration between public and private sector to promote Green Finance Funds at regional and landscape level. 

He is dedicated to finding new business opportunities for the environmental services related to the conservation and management of the natural capital because in addition to carbon markets, we have a portfolio of environmental services ready to be understood, managed and protected.
