Vaishali Misra is the Business Leader for IKEA Social Entrepreneurship, Range and Supply – a global assignment to include social entrepreneurs and businesses into IKEA’s value chain, through the long term production and development of home furnishing and food products. In this capacity, Vaishali is responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders to set the strategy, develop the business model, manage partner evaluation and ensure alignment with IKEA’s business and social metrics. What excites Vaishali the most about her work is the partnerships that IKEA builds and the ripple effect they create for families and societies; Over time, women get more respect in their communities, inspire others as role models, gain confidence by learning skills and most importantly, invest in their children.
Vaishali was born and raised in India, and throughout her 28 year career has held various leadership positions in design, sales, business development and project management, both in India and globally. She has a degree in Interior and Furniture Design, as well as an MBA, and currently resides in Sweden.
