Sabrina Roshan is the Director of the Schmidt Futures Technologists for Global Transformation (TGT) Program. The program offers early career technologists the opportunity to participate in solving the world’s greatest ecological and socio-economic challenges.
Prior to Schmidt Futures, she served as the Chief Strategy Officer for Good Machine, a venture studio that ideates impactful innovations and establishes companies to address a wide range of socio-ecological problems. Sabrina also oversaw expansion strategy and public private partnerships at Andela. Andela specializes in helping highly-skilled, global technology talent in emerging markets connect with leading companies.
She spent several years at the World Bank, where she supported the Office of the U.S. Executive Director. While at the World Bank, Sabrina also worked on strengthening the ability of public sector institutions to deliver services in the Africa region. She launched her career building and executing education sector capacity building programs for Afghan youth and educators, with an emphasis on the post-secondary level.
Sabrina has dedicated her career to ensuring that skills development offers a pathway to economic development in underserved communities. An Afghan-American, she is committed to supporting resettlement and relief efforts for vulnerable Afghans.
Sabrina received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Maryland, College Park and her Master in Public Policy degree from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. She is a Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations.
