Robbie joined Context in 2015. Prior to his work at Context, Robbie spent five years with the environmental nonprofit, GrowNYC, directing a public-private partnership program. While there, Robbie worked with New York City government agencies on strategy, communication, and stakeholder engagement for the long-term solid waste sustainability plan at the city’s 1,800 public schools. Robbie’s career in sustainability began on rooftops in Massachusetts and Connecticut where he designed and installed solar energy systems. Transferring that knowledge to a sales role, Robbie advised businesses and homeowners how to stabilize energy costs through efficiency measures and maximize return on investment from solar. Robbie holds a Master of Science in Sustainability Management from Columbia University. At Columbia, Robbie was lead editor for a capstone thesis consulting the New York City Department of Environmental Protection on green infrastructure for stormwater management. Robbie also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Wheaton College in Massachusetts.
