Ramez Maher is the Founder and Managing Director of “Helm Foundation”, established in September 2014, a nonprofit organization aiming on promoting the full inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Egypt through employability and accessibility. Ramez was certified by the Japanese International Cooperation Agency in “Barrier-free Environments” program in Japan. He was also awarded the Total Startupper of the Year for “Wsul” startup in 2016; a social enterprise that extends the impact towards disability matters in Egypt to provide services for corporates and professionals to ensure access for all.

He was chosen as one of the 1st class of Rise Entrepreneur’s that took place in Harvard, Cambridge, United States participating in a 2 year fellowship program (2015-2016) in which he gained intimate access to networks and partnerships from all over the world in the field of Disability. Over the past 5 years Ramez has been advocating for the rights of PwD working along hand different corporations, government of Egypt, and NGOs to ensure the full participation of PwD In all aspects of life.

Ramez graduated in 2010 with high honors from the American University in Cairo with a bachelor degree in Integrated Marketing Communications and minoring in Anthropology.
