Natalia is a strategically-minded communicator and brand storyteller, who brings a decade of expertise in communications, business strategy, and partnership development. Throughout her career, she has worked with dozens of Fortune 50 companies, tech startups, and nonprofits to help them navigate unique brand challenges and further business objectives. Natalia currently serves as Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Mubadala Capital – Ventures, the VC arm of one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds. In her role, she oversees marketing and communications strategies for the US venture team and portfolio, with a focus on verticals including technology-enabled healthcare, financial technology, enterprise + cloud, consumer, and frontier tech. Portfolio companies in the US include: Recursion, Alloy Therapeutics, Color, Science37, Innovaccer, Brex, Welcome Tech, SpotOn, and BetterUp (among many others)

Most recently, Natalia worked at a boutique consulting firm in Silicon Valley, advising tech companies, small startups, global media brands, venture capital firms, and large foundations. Prior to that, Natalia was responsible for driving large, cross-company initiatives at Univision, the largest Spanish-language broadcast company. She started her career in Washington, D.C. working at Brunswick Group, before moving out to California to join travel start-up HotelTonight (later acquired by Airbnb).

Natalia is extremely passionate about bridging communities, elevating the U.S. Hispanic immigrant experience, and fostering cross-cultural understanding. Born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, she understands the pivotal role private-public partnerships and multilateral collaboration can have on propelling a country forward. She is also an American and Italian citizen, fluent in Spanish, proficient in Portuguese and French. She is a founding Board Member of Latinas In Tech, advisor to Alaya Tea Company, and proud mom to baby boy Andreas. Natalia holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University.
