Moono Mupotola is Director of Regional Integration at the African Development Bank. She manages the AfDB’s regional integration agenda across the High 5s (Light Up Africa, Feed Africa, Industrialize Africa, Integrate Africa and Improving Life Quality for Africans), as well as, the African Development Fund’s (ADF) resources for regional projects and programmes. In addition, she works closely with the African Union, the NEPAD Planning Agency, UNECA and Regional Economic Communities, in mobilizing financial resources for implementing projects under the Programme for Infrastructure Development for Africa (PIDA) and the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Ms. Mupotola has also steered the Bank’s flagship knowledge products shaping the continent’s integration agenda, from the Africa Visa Openness Index – inspiring countries to open up their borders – to the first Africa Regional Integration Index. As a high-level representative of the Bank, regionally and internationally, she is a prominent thought leader on African integration through her range of publications, interviews and blog.
