He is a 43 year old Bogotano, 20 of them dedicated to work in the national and international financial sector, and today he is the Executive President of the Bank of Microfinance Bancamía SA Professional in Finance and Foreign Trade of the Sergio Arboleda University and specialized in Corporate Finance, graduated from the College of Advanced Management Studies CESA. Miguel Ángel also has academic training in programs of Business Management of the University of La Sabana Inalde and Credit Risk Management of the Universidad de los Andes.

After holding different positions at BBVA Colombia as head of standardization of assets, methodologies and risk tools, policies and portfolio, he became the Director of Retail Risk & Global Risk Management for South America of the BBVA Group in Spain. 

Subsequently, he was called to lead the Risk, Development and Commercial Innovation areas of the BBVA Microfinance Foundation Group, made up of six financial entities with presence in five Latin American countries. In this same institution, he was also a member of the Management Committee and Director of the Global Commercial Committee, positions he held until March 2017, when he returned to the country with the mission to lead the Bank of Microfinance Bancamía SA
