Mary Margaret Frank is a Professor of Business Administration and Senior Associate Dean at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. In addition to holding the Samuel A. Lewis Sr. Faculty Fellowship, Frank is an academic director for Darden’s Institute for Business in Society (IBiS) and an academic fellow for the UNC Tax Center. Her research, teaching and curriculum development examine the relation between business, government and civil society in a variety of contexts. She began her career exploring the effect of tax policies on corporate and investor behavior which has evolved into a broader exploration of cross-sector engagement on societal issues. She currently teaches courses about tax planning as well as sustainable responsible impact (SRI) investing and has published in both areas. She has won numerous awards for her research, teaching and innovations in curriculum development. She also developed the Tri-Sector Leadership Fellows Program at the University of Virginia, as well as, the P3 Impact Award in collaboration with Concordia and the U.S. Department of State Prior to joining the Darden faculty in 2002, Frank taught at the University of Chicago’s Booth Graduate School of Business and at the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina. She also served for over a decade on the board of directors and as chairperson of the Audit Committee of Veru Inc., formerly Female Health Company (FHC).
