Marques harnesses 15 years of experience in private equity investing, strategy development, and corporate finance. Prior to launching FVLCRUM, Marques Co-founded The Inkwell Group a lower middle-market private equity firm based in Washington DC. Marques focuses his passion for small business investing with a rigorous operational and analytical framework for sustained business growth.

 Prior to Inkwell, Marques was Senior Vice President at Key Community Bank, a $98 billion super-regional bank. He was responsible for leading the $4 billion asset small business team’s product and strategy initiatives. Previously, Marques was a principal investor at the Riverside Company, a leading global middle-market private equity firm, where he completed six acquisitions as part of the Riverside Micro-cap fund. Prior to Riverside, Marques was a principal investor with HIG Ventures focused on investments in rapidly growing SMB enterprises. Prior to HIG, he worked at McKinsey & Co., a leading global strategic management consulting firm advising fortune 1,000 clients on critical strategic and operational issues.

Marques currently serves as the Advisory Board chairman for the Cleveland Early College High School and is an alum of the Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio’s LeadDIVERSITY program.

Marques holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Morehouse College, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Beta Kappa honor societies.
