Marie-Helena joined Concordia in March 2018 as Strategic Engagement Coordinator. Marie-Helena assists the Strategic Engagement Team in coordinating all aspects of the department, including day-to-day operations, trajectory, and success metrics.
As a New York native, Marie-Helena’s passion for community involvement and girl empowerment has led her to lend her skills to various organizations, such as The Boys and Girls Club and South Asian Youth Action (SAYA). In 2016 she shifted from community-based establishments to pursue a career with Tastemakers Africa, with the intention to have an impact on the way her home continent of Africa is portrayed in the media. While working with Tastemakers, Marie-Helena was able to travel to various countries in Africa, including Ghana.
Marie-Helena graduated from Sacred Heart University in 2015 with a degree in psychology and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Sacred Heart University. While in undergraduate school, Marie-Helena was Vice President of the United Campus Alliance and an active member of the Student Life Committee.
