María Muñoz

Intern, Partnerships

As a Partnerships Intern, María supports research and brainstorming to identify partnership needs and effectively drive value to various stakeholders within the Concordia community. She actively supports data intake and analysis and provides essential general support to Concordia’s Partnerships Department, including preparing discussion materials, conducting research, and drafting proposals.

Prior to joining Concordia, María was a Business Management intern at Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME), the operator of the Spanish Stock Exchange, where she honed her project management skills and organized committee meetings. She also worked as a tutor for kids, which equipped her with the ability to identify individual needs and tailor her approach to foster a supportive learning environment.

Originally from Spain, María is graduating this summer from a dual Bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Studies from University Carlos III of Madrid, which has provided her with a comprehensive understanding of politics, public policy, trade, and finance, all with an international focus. Her academic journey was enriched by an exchange year at The City University of New York – Baruch College in 2021-2022, where she further developed her global perspective and interpersonal skills, preparing her to thrive in diverse environments. Fluent in Spanish and English, and currently studying French, she is passionate about international affairs and committed to fostering inclusive growth, sustainable development, and positive change on a global scale.
