Lise Kingo is a recognized expert in corporate sustainability. She leads the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative with more than 8,000 companies and 4,000 non-business signatories from 170 countries that have committed to aligning strategies and operations with universal principles, and taking actions that advance societal goals.

Prior to joining the UN Global Compact in 2015, Lise was Chief of Staff, Executive Vice-President and member of the Executive Management team at Novo Nordisk A/S that led the company to become the sixth largest pharmaceutical company globally and the largest company in the Nordic region by market capitalization. She oversaw the company’s UN Global Compact participation and led the integration of sustainability into its business strategy, including the development of “Changing Diabetes” to transform how diabetes is managed and ultimately defeat it. Lise received the Edinburgh Medal and Tomorrow Magazine’s Environmental Leadership Award.

Lise holds multiple degrees including a MSc in Responsibility and Business Practice from the University of Bath, United Kingdom and a B.Com. in Marketing Economics from the Copenhagen Business School.
