Kauna Ndilula is a Development Finance Specialist with diverse experience in institutional strategy development and execution. Her strength lies mainly in policy formulation, strategy development, enterprise development program design, business growth strategy development, and investment management. Kauna has designed policy guidelines for various programs such as the Namibia Procurement Fund, Bank Windhoek SME financing strategy and created several financing interventions to unlock bottlenecks in Namibia and the region. Her demonstrable leadership skills in the social and investment space has impacted sustainable economic development across industries and structures in Namibia.
Kauna previously worked as a Senior Executive in Commercial Banking and in the development finance space, collaboration with international development agencies to develop local enterprises export potential. She is currently the Managing Director of Business Financial Solutions Holding (BFS), a local advisory and investment management firm. Under her leadership, the Namibia Procurement Fund (BFS flagship investment fund), invested N$ 1.5 billion (over 1 million USD) into Namibian SMEs, was cited in the London Exchange company report of 2016 as one of the firms on the continent inspiring Africa and was runner up for the Development Bank of Namibia ‘doing good Business award’ runner-up in 2018.
Kauna is passionate about supporting the development of African mid cap companies throughout Sub Saharan Africa and is in the process of raising capital to role out her Sub Saharan African Strategy.
Kauna serves on the National Planning Commission as Commissioner and is a Director of Sanlam Holdings Namibia. Furthermore, she chairs the Namibia Power Corporation Board.
She holds a Masters of Development Finance (Massachusetts) and an MBA from the University of Stellenbosch.
