Josh Sandler is the co-founder and CEO of Truetax, a technology platform driving down the tax gap. Josh co-founded and was the former CEO of gtxn, a venture backed B2B fx exchange for frontier markets that ensures reliable and cost-effective solutions for currency sourcing- further allowing for business collaboration and growth. Josh is also the founder and former CEO of Lori, a tech-driven logistics services company that seamlessly coordinates haulage across Africa to bring down the cost of goods. With operations across sub-Saharan Africa, Lori has optimized the movement of billions of dollars of cargo across the continent and has grown to become one of the largest technology platforms in Africa. It was recognized as the fastest-growing startup in Africa and was the Winner of TechCrunch Battlefield Africa. Its investors include DST, Hillhouse, Google and other leading venture capital firms.

While earning his MBA and a MPA/ID at Harvard, Josh worked closely with East African governments on trade policy, and wrote his dissertation on the systemic constraints on growth. Prior to graduate school, Josh worked in Investment Banking and Private Equity in New York and Chicago. He remains an active tech investor.

Josh has been recognized as an Obama Foundation Africa Fellow, a World Economic Forum Tech Pioneer, an Endeavor Entrepreneur and an Alter Global Entrepreneur. While at Harvard, Josh was a Rubenstein Fellow and a George Fellow. He serves on Harvard’s Center for Public Leadership’s Alumni board, as an Advisor at Concordia and as an advisor to numerous technology startups.
