Hannah Flournoy Buchan has extensive experience in both real estate and asset management.  

Mrs. Buchan is the founder and CEO of 3 Notch Capital Partners L.P., an asset management fund that she started in 2001.  She has particular expertise in technology, media and telecom (“TMT”), as well as in retail. The fund’s investments have significantly outperformed relevant benchmarks over time.  She is also the Manager of Hunter Global Capital Management LLC, where she manages family investments across a spectrum of asset classes. Mrs. Buchan serves on several for-profit and not-for-profit boards incorporating Land Conservation and Commercial Real Estate.

Prior to 3 Notch, Mrs. Buchan was a founder, shareholder and Managing Director of Chilton Investment Company, Inc., a New York based money management firm, from its inception in 1992 until 2001.  The firm’s assets under management grew from approximately $3 million to over $6 billion during her tenure.

Mrs. Buchan was born in Columbus, GA and graduated from Choate Rosemary Hall in 1988.  She received a BA from the University of Vermont in 1992 and an MBA in Finance from the Leonard Stern School of Business at New York University in 1998.  She also attended L’Universite´ Paris-Sorbonne in Paris, France.  Her interests include horses, contemporary art, architecture, skiing, tennis, real estate and gardening.  Mrs. Buchan and her husband have three young children. They live in New York City and Palm Beach, FL.
