| Hon. Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda, M.P is the Minister of Health in the Government of Malawi She is a trained Biochemist, holding a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry and a Bachelor in Pharmacy. She has previously worked for such entities as Malawi Pharmacies Ltd and City Pharmacies Limited, as well as serving as a member of the Pharmacy Medicine and Poisons Board, City Pharmacies Ltd. She entered politics by winning the Parliamentary seat for Kasungu South East Constituency in the 2014 General Elections, which she retained in the 2019 Elections, following which she was appointed Minister of Health by Malawi’s President Chakwera in July 2020. |
