Governor Kathy Hochul is the 57th and first female Governor of New York State. She began her career in public service on her local Town Board, before serving as Erie County Clerk, and then as a member of Congress, and later as Lieutenant Governor. Since being sworn into office, Governor Hochul has proposed a bold vision for New York’s future, working with the legislature to pass a transformative budget that invests in public safety, clean energy, affordable housing, and standing up for gun safety and woman’s reproductive rights after reckless decisions from the Supreme Court. Born and raised in Western New York, Governor Hochul and her husband Bill are the proud parents of two children and recently became grandparents for the first time.
